So new for 2010 is wine making! Susie and I are making wine, with the help of our fearless brewer friend, Jen. We went wine tasting to pick out our fave wine styles so we'd know what to make and settled on two different fruity wines to test the water with. First up is a Cranberry Pinot Grigio. We go the kit and set straight to work... Susie and I handled step one successfully and Jen took care of step two... Step three, involving vigorous stirring, luckily Jen, our expert brewer, has the fancy tools, essentially a mixer attachment to a power drill, making the stirring much more manageable.
Next up is bottling of the Cran wine and more mixing of the second batch, a Pomegranate Zinfandel.
Easter egg cracking... according to Susie some great tradition where you spend all this time to hollow out an egg, dye it fancy colors and then fill it with confetti and seal it shut. Then you smash them on each others head... surprisingly great fun :)
The whole fam came to visit P-town and the Couv for my graduation... We had an eventful weekend of driving each other crazy (with love)! Some highlights! a.) Forgot my cap and gown in the Events office after picking it up and didn't remember until after I had driven several blocks away. b.) Grampy ordering the exact same things as Dad for the majority of the weekend. c.) Grammy stating McMinamins would not survive in CA because the property was too expensive... d.) Grammy refusing to use the new discman and book on tape while on vacation, insisting she wanted to "save it for later"... e.) Isa presenting me with a super cool dollar bill lei the whole Pernsteiner fam made (Susie had madd crafty skills) for me and the only thing she said to me was "Are you coming to my house today?" f.) Kim entertaining the whole fam at lunch, according to Mom entertaining the G&G the entire car ride from UP to the Kennedy School.
Road tripped it to Tacoma back in April, when Mandy came to visit... Went to a lovely little shop where I was in Fiestaware heaven while Mand got to have coffee and catch up with a college friend... having set myself a limit of $35, I was more than suprised that I walked away spending less than $20 on two awesome bowls... I think my favorite part of Fiestaware is that you can get it in just about any color imaginable (I chose green and teal)...

New word for 2010 - cooperativity...
According to Dad and Mandy, was used at least 4 times in the speech at commencement today... and soo much better than plain old cooperation.
I do realize it is now May 1 and trying new things has been happening for several months now... but one of those new things is creating my own blog! Which only just happened today, care of my best (and only) sister Mandy...
Anyways more new things to come! Up next making wine!
